We have a deck outside our Great Room and wanted to easily feed a pair of EV outside speakers from the same amp powering out TV set up. Using this switch (which is quite deep behind the buttons), we can send music outside, inside, or to both areas. Great for those times you have friends at the house. It would have been ridiculously complicated to stuff the wires and switch into a wall box so I simply bought a deep plastic electric box (happens to be blue), cut off the nail clips intended to secure it to a stud, and ran my wiring through the cable slots in the back. All hooked up, it now rests on the left side of the TV cabinet top shelf. Doesn't come with a switch cover but a GFCI cover works fine.

Works as stated, but the ivory color does not match the standard ivory color of switch plates.
